Refunds and Cancellations Policy

14-Day Refund Window

• Students may request a full refund within 14 days of the date of enrollment/payment, provided the request is made within this window.
• No refunds will be issued after the 14-day period has elapsed, regardless of the number of classes attended or remaining.
• The 14-day period is calculated from the date the enrollment payment is successfully processed, not from the date of the first class.

How to Request a Refund

To request a refund within the eligible window:

1. Contact us at decibelschoolofmusic@gmail.com or 9262727734 with your name, enrolled course, and date of payment.
2. Our team will verify eligibility based on the 14-day window.
3. Approved refunds will be processed back to the original payment method within [Insert Number] business days.

Non-Refundable Items

The following are non-refundable, even within the 14-day window, unless otherwise stated at the time of purchase:

• Free trial classes (as no payment is collected for these)
• Certification/exam fees for graded courses (Crescendo Keys / Crescendo Strings), once submitted to the certifying body
• Any promotional or discounted enrollment explicitly marked as non-refundable at checkout

Cancellations by the Student

• Students may cancel their enrollment at any time by notifying the academy in writing (email or through the student portal).
• If cancellation occurs within the 14-day window, the standard refund process (Sections 1–2) applies.
• If cancellation occurs after the 14-day window, no refund will be issued for remaining classes or course duration, though we may, at our discretion, offer the option to pause or transfer enrollment (see Section 6).

Cancellations or Rescheduling by the Academy

• If a class is cancelled or rescheduled by Decibel School of Music (e.g., instructor unavailability, technical issues, or unforeseen circumstances), we will offer a make-up class at a mutually convenient time.
• In the rare case that a course cannot be completed as promised due to reasons attributable to the academy, a pro-rated refund for undelivered classes may be issued at our discretion.

Pausing or Transferring Enrollment

• Students facing genuine difficulty attending classes (illness, relocation, etc.) may request to pause their course or transfer their remaining sessions to another course/instrument, subject to academy approval.
• This is offered as an alternative to cancellation after the refund window has closed and is handled on a case-by-case basis.

Trial Class Terms

A trial class is offered free of charge (or at a nominal fee, if applicable) and is not covered under this refund policy, as no course fee has been paid at that stage.
